A motorist was arrested after a four-minute police chase over a bridge.
Officers patrolling the Old Sheppey Way spotted a car without insurance at 1.50pm on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said: "They used their lights and sirens to request the driver to stop. But instead, the vehicle continued to be driven at speed, putting other road-users at risk as it weaved in and out of traffic over the Sheppey Crossing."
The Mercedes car was eventually stopped by a 'stinger' on the Sittingbourne side of the A249 near the Iwade turn-off at 1.54pm.
During a search, officers from Swale's local policing team discovered a "small quantity" of cannabis inside.
The spokesman added: "A 44-year-old man from Sittingbourne was subsequently arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving while disqualified and without insurance and possession of a class B drug."
Afterwards, police posted photos of the car in a Tweet. They said: "Pursued this vehicle today from Sheppey to Iwade with the assistance of CPT (community policing team) with a Stinger. The driver eventually gave up and was arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop, disqualified driving, possession of cannabis and no insurance."
The driver was later released pending further enquiries.
