A man has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after he was stabbed.

Detectives have launched an investigation following a serious assault in Manor Road, Queenborough, at around 12.30pm.

The man was treated at the scene before being flown to a London hospital in a serious condition.

Police officers attended and arrested a 27-year-old woman in connection with the incident. A knife was also seized from the location.

The victim and suspect are believed to be known to one another and inquiries into the circumstances behind the incident are ongoing.
