Police are on the hunt for a person who crashed a Porsche, which had been reported stolen, into a lamppost and bench.
The crash, which saw the bonnet fly off the car, happened in The Broadway, Minster, Sheppey, at about 2.33am on Saturday.
Officers were called and found the vehicle abandoned near the entrance to The Abbey Hotel.
It had been reported stolen.
A police spokesman confirmed no other vehicles were involved and an investigation had been opened, based on forensic samples recovered from the car.
Following the smash, a lamppost was left on the pavement, debris was strewn across The Broadway and a bench had been knocked over.
An eyewitness, who did not want to be named, said the crash also destroyed a sign.
"Nearly everyone had said there were two people in the car. The police said they knew who they were."
Damage was caused to the front of the car, the entire windscreen was smashed and all the airbags went off.
It is believed the Porsche was a 2006 Panamera Turbo model.
