Hundreds flocked to the fifth annual Swale Pride festival on Saturday.
The extravaganza aims to promote and educate communities with its vibrant and inclusive LGBTQ+ summer event of fun and music.
This year’s festival, once again held at Oasis Academy in Sheerness, saw more than 500 attend – considerably lower than previous years which have hit the heights of up to 1,500 attendees.
However on a weekend which saw train strikes hit services again, organiser Steven Pullen believes the weekend’s carnival was another great occasion.
He said: “Saturday was a great day.
"There were so many wonderful stalls and great performers, so as always it was a success.
"During this year's Pride we had a fall in numbers attend, but we feel this is partly due to other local events and also the train strikes.
"However, those attended appeared to have a great time.
“The acts which performed were brilliant.
"We’re now busy in securing funding and donations to make next years event bigger and better, with the possibility of holding Swale Pride 2024 in Sittingbourne.”
