A hip-hop artist is celebrating the release of his debut album.

Moses McGeorge, who performs under the stage name M Dot R, has been appearing at venues locally and recently has been getting his name known on the circuit in London.

For the past year, the born-and-bred-Islander has been working on his 12 track album, and M Dot R You Ready? is for sale now.

Although the 27-year-old has produced mix tapes and promotional CDs, this is his first official album, which has been released through independent record label Urban Delight.

The dad-of-one, of Richmond Street, Sheerness, believes his music will appeal to people of all ages.

“I’m really happy with the album,” he said. “There’s songs on there about my daughter and it’s all real positive stuff. I took it into Sheppey FM and they absolutely loved it.”

Moses is preparing for a gig at The Snooker Club in High Street, Sittingbourne, on Saturday, November 24, which has been organised by Sittingbourne-based Ph47 Promotions
