A charity which supports disabled children and their families has moved to a new venue.
Island run charity Ribbons, which used to hold its events at Murston Children’s Centre, will now be holding its holiday-time activities at Grove Park Family Centre, in Hilton Drive, Sittingbourne.
Last Wednesday the group, which helps around 40 families from all over Swale, held a spring lunch called Daffodils and Doughnuts.
Children spent the afternoon using the equipment at their new base, in the sensory room and making flowers out of tissue.
At the event, the charity was also presented with a cheque for £250 by children from Cheyne Middle School’s Make a Difference group.
June Vargerson, who is on the Ribbons committee, said: “We are beyond grateful to Murston Children’s Centre for all their help and support over the years.
“We have moved to Grove Park because our membership has grown.
“The money was a lovely surprise and we are very grateful to Cheyne too.”
