A road was closed after a shunt between two cars this afternoon.

It happened in Marine Parade, near Barton’s Point Coastal Park, Sheerness, at about 12.30pm.

A Citroen and a Mondeo were involved and police closed the road while an ambulance was on scene.

One person was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with neck pain.

Traffic was diverted through Halfway. The road was reopened by 1.30pm.
