A road near a busy high street is set to close this week.
Victoria Street in Sheerness, on Sheppey, will shut between Shrubsole Avenue and Second Avenue.
The closure is taking place on Friday to enable Kent County Council (KCC) to undertake footway works.
Alternative routes for motorists are in place via Second Avenue, St George’s Avenue, the high street and vice versa.
Meanwhile, Vincent Gardens, which also runs parallel to Sheerness High Street, will be shut next month.
The closure, which is being carried out by Southern Water, is planned for Monday, September 25.
It will be out-of-bounds between the high street and Shrubsole Avenue - it’s expected to reopen four days later.
The alternative route for traffic will be via the high street, Victoria Street, Shrubsole Avenue and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
