An eight-year-old girl has been injured following an accident involving a car.

Police have confirmed they were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service to Main Road, Queenborough, at 3.27pm today (Friday).

The details of what happened are unclear.

The girl was taken to Sheppey Community Hospital with minor grazes to her knees and elbow.
