Former vicar of Sheerness Douglas Walker, who died earlier this year, will be remembered at a special service on Sunday.

Mr Walker was based at Holy Trinity Church in Broadway, Sheerness, for 18 years until he retired in 2001.

His widow Rita and son Nigel, a former Minster College teacher, will attend the service, which starts at 10am.

A gospel book will be dedicated to the memory of Mr Walker.
