Sheerness East enjoyed a 1-0 victory over Stansfeld O&B Club in the Kent Intermediate Shield at the Working Men’s Club ground on Saturday.

AFC Sheppey lost 4-3 at home to University of Kent on Saturday in the Vandanel Kent County League, Division 1 East.

It was Sheppey’s third straight home defeat, after losing recently in the league to Premier and Woodstock Park.

Aaron Abbott scored twice for Sheppey.

East face Swale United on Saturday in the Les Leckie Cup at the UK Paper Sports Ground in Sittingbourne.

AFC Sheppey play at Holm Place in the same competition and they host AFC Sevenoaks.
