A249 Sheppey crossing closed due to broken down vehicle

A broken down vehicle caused the closure of the Sheppey Crossing during rush-hour.

It happened at Old Ferry Road (the Lower Halstow turn-off) and brought southbound motorists to a standstill.

The incident happened just before 4pm.

The bridge has since reopened.
