Part of the Sheppey Crossing was closed this morning because of a broken down car.
A police spokesman said the vehicle was in a dangerous position in the slow lane of the A249 going off of the Island.
Officers were called to the scene, before the Sheppey Crossing, at 8.40am. Traffic was diverted via the Kingsferry Bridge.
The vehicle was recovered and the road was reopened at 9.40am.
