Sheppey head coach Frank Davis is targeting revenge when the team travel to Kent 1 rivals Old Olavians this Saturday.
The Orpington side secured a 12-10 win at The Ditch in a bad-tempered clash in October which saw Sheppey have several players sin-binned.
Davis hopes his side can build on a battling performance in the defeat to Cranbrook last Saturday.
The playing surface swiftly became a quagmire in the rain, meaning Sheppey were forced to change shirts at half-time, just so the players were identifiable.
Sheppey were on top for much of the first half but missed a penalty in the strong wind and were denied a deserved try by solid defence from the Cranes on more than one occasion.
After the break the home side continued to press but after Cranbrook had kicked a penalty to go ahead, the home side missed another late on when replacement Dan Seager’s kick in atrocious conditions failed to find the target.
Davis said: "We did everything but win the game. We missed two kicks which would have won it but they were not easy because the conditions were so tough.
"It was gutting. The boys have been working so hard and the morale is high. They have been superb and put in so much effort. We need the little bit of luck that is not going our way at the moment."
