Sheppey will use Saturday’s friendly with London 3 South East high-fliers Folkestone as a warm-up for their clash with Lordswood the following week.
Coach Peter Olliver (pictured) says the match will give his side a taste of high-calibre opposition a week before they travel to the unbeaten Kent 1 leaders.
Sheppey have scored 87 points and conceded just eight in the past two games and Olliver says confidence is high, with his side sitting just four points off a top-three place after beating Beccehamian 34-3 on Saturday.
Olliver said: "I was pleased with the result as Beccehamians is not the easiest place to go.
"Ever since we did the team-building after the Ashford game the spirit has been fantastic.
"Everyone has been pulling for each other and we are seeing the results on the pitch.
"In a way it is a shame we haven’t got another league game this week to keep the momentum going. Facing Lordswood, you want to go in on a high."
Olliver will have a diminished squad for the clash with Folkestone, with several players taking advantage of the break from league action.
He said: "Folkestone are riding high and we’ll use it as a stepping stone for next week."
