More on KentOnline
The Witches of Sheppey made their debut on national TV today with an appearance on ITV's This Morning's Halloween special with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Head witch Charlotte Clark, a grandmother of seven, said: "It was all down to KentOnline.
"After we appeared on the website and its sister paper the Sheerness Times Guardian we were approached by The Sun and then we were asked on This Morning. Heaven knows where we will be next."
The TV station sent a minibus to pick up six of the coven at 6am.
Barmaid Charlotte, 55, from Minster said: "They asked us to cast a spell to make it snow on Christmas Day so we threw ice into a cauldron. They also asked us to take our hats, capes and broomsticks."
The Sun has also filmed a spooky video of the group called The Lady of the Light but now dubbed The Witches of Eastchurch after the Witches of Eastwick film, on the Island.
It has already been seen nearly 6,000 times.
Charlotte and her team, who included retired civil servant Maggie Edser-Lands and taxi firm boss Denise Griffin, were planning to return to Sheppey after filming to celebrate with a few extra spirits at the Harps Inn, Minster.
In the evening, the Island's pagans called Toil and Trouble were planning to celebrate what they call Samhain on The Leas at Minster at 7pm.
Spokesman Lee Ellison said: "The women will be dressed in their witches attire with their brooms. We want to show we take our religion seriously. The ritual will be a positive one."
Ghost-hunters were also checking out strange spirits at the Heritage micropub at Halfway on Monday.
