The petrol station and car wash at Tesco in Bridge Road, Sheerness , has been closed for a major refit. The forecourt has undergone an extensive upgrade as workers install a new canopy and kiosk.
It is expected to reopen this week. Meanwhile, the main supermarket is also being "refreshed."
Store manager Kay Speed said: “We’re really excited to be undertaking a significant refresh of the store and investing in the Sheerness community.
"My team and I would like to thank all our customers for their patience while the work is being carried out. We hope you enjoy the updated store.”
Inside, it is being equipped with new fridges and freezers, new shelving, a new foyer with Costa coffee machine and a new-look cafe. There will be a new 'grab and go' deli counter for fish, meat and cheese.
Outside is getting new signs all round. Special 'containers' have been installed around the outside of the store for workers to use as a base.
