A teenager was taken to hospital with head injuries after his moped collided with a parked car.

The accident happened in Ranelagh Road, Sheerness, at about 4.50pm on Sunday.

Fire crews and paramedics attended the scene and the 18-year-old man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

A Sheppey Fire and Rescue crew was called to clear up fuel spillage in the road.
