It is understood after the attack the victim, who is under the age of 18 and from the Rainham area, was able to call his parents who went to collect him and took him to hospital.

The police were informed and three teenagers were arrested and charged over the incident and have now appeared in court.

Mason Godding, 19, of High Street, Newington, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared before magistrates in Folkestone on Friday, March 14.

Godding did not enter any plea in relation to the offence and his case was sent to Maidstone Crown Court to be dealt with. He is expected to appear there on April 11 and was granted bail until then.

In addition, two boys aged 15 and 17 were arrested on Tuesday, March 11 and Wednesday, March 12, respectively.

They were both charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court.

The pair were conditionally bailed to a hearing at Medway Youth Court on April 3.
