Thousands of pounds have been raised for the funeral and family of four-year-old Ezmae Catley, who died on Tuesday.
A GoFundMe page, set up by Queenborough resident Emily Jean Morley, had reached £4,000 by 9am this morning - exceeding the original target of £3,000.
As well as funds from the page going towards her funeral, businesses and schools are also doing their bit to collect donations for the bereaved family.
The Harps Inn, on Minster Road, will be running a fundraising day on Saturday (January 7), with proceeds being donated to mum Claire Morrish and dad David Catley.
Lisa Lorton, one of the directors, said: "Claire usually comes in twice a week and we've followed Ezmae's story.
"We'll be holding a princess/fairytale themed day to raise money for them and our staff decided to give all of their tips to them this week."
As well as the fun day, Island schools are getting involved, with West Minster Primary in St George's Avenue, Rose Street School in Rose Street, Richmond Academy in Unity Street, St Edwards in New Road, all in Sheerness, Thistle Hill Academy in Aspen Drive and St George's Primary in Chequers Road, Minster Primary in Brecon Chase, all in Minster, Halfway Houses Primary in Danley Road, Halfway, Queenborough School in Edward Road, Queenborough, Eastchurch St Clements site in Leysdown Road, Leysdown, holding non-uniform days to raise money.
Ezmae's siblings attended West Minster Primary, with a post on the school's Facebook reading: "Her story has touched so many lives and she was a real inspiration to us all.
"Her siblings used to attend West Minster so we really would like to help the family at this devastating time for them all."
