Three people have been taken to hospital and the A249 has been closed after a four vehicle pile-up.

The accident happened at about 3pm today (Friday) on the A249 Maidstone-bound heading towards the Stockbury roundabout.

Police closed the road from Bobbing up to Stockbury at 4.40pm for the vehicles to be recovered.

Paramedics were called and three people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic has backed-up to Iwade.
