Tributes have been paid to a dad-of-two who died two days after suffering severe injuries in a crash.
Alessandro Arcadipane, who was known as Alex, was airlifted to St George's Hospital, London, after his Yamaha YQ 100 Citroen C2 at about 10.10am on Wednesday.
The Minster resident was travelling down Brielle Way, Sheerness, when the accident occurred. Police were investigating whether brake fluid on the road may have played a part.
The 26-year-old's family have paid tribute, saying Alex was a well-respected young man who "stepped up to the plate" as a single dad to his daughters, Lucy and Ellie, who lived with him.
His father Joe said he was devoted to his girls and said nothing was too much trouble for him and he was extremely proud of his little family.
Mr Arcadipane said that Alex, who died yesterday, would be missed by all who knew him and that he loved his life and his friends but mostly his daughters, with whom he spent all his spare time.
The collision is being investigated by the police’s serious collision investigation unit and officers would like to hear from any motorists who witnessed the collision or who may have driven over debris on Brielle Way near where the collision occurred.
