A group of Santa's elves are spreading Christmas joy across the borough by visiting people on their doorsteps.
Elves R Us trio Sammie Searle, Kayleigh Carina and Ben Searle are adventuring across Swale this month to help bring some festive cheer for people during the pandemic.
The pointy-eared, red-cheeked team have set up a “to your door service” which sees elves Berry Sparkle, Candy Stripeytights and Buddy Gumdrop rock up to peoples’s homes with a letter from Santa, a naughty or nice list, as well as singing and dancing for the family, all while socially distanced.
Visits cost £40 up until the week of Christmas, starting Monday December 21, where people will have to part with £50 for two elves.
The group was set up by Boogie Tots, a class for children to dance and have fun, and it had its first visit in Queenborough on December 2.
Boogie Tots founder Sammie Searle set up the new venture with Kayleigh, who owns Kayleigh Carina Performing Arts School, and roped in her son Ben to help out.
She said: “As you know it’s been a tough time for the self employed. Boogie Tots has continued online and have gone back to face-to-face classes again earlier this month, but as parties have not been going ahead we had to think of something else to lift the children’s spirits.
“We have made the most of our doorsteps this year by clapping the NHS, VE day and connecting with neighbours on them, why not add Christmas Elf visits to the list.
Mum Emma-Jane Dillury was first on the elves visiting list this year and was full of praise for the group.
She said: "Our little Malikah opened the door to two cheeky elves who arrived to spread some festive cheer with an incredible personalised visit with letter from Santa, songs, dancing and jokes.
"The elves looked amazing in full costume and knew Malikah’s favourite Christmas song and she loved singing it with them.
"They knew the names of her teddies, where she had been on the day and that she needs to stay in bed a bit longer each morning if she wants to stay on Santa’s nice list.
"Malikah was given a certificate and a goody bag full of treats from the elves that she couldn’t wait to delve into.
"She even got to make a special Christmas wish involving some glitter that still graces our doorstep and she will be thrilled to see it there in the morning to remind her of such a special visit - one she will no doubt be talking about for weeks."
