A roadside has been lined with more than 40 floral tributes to a “beautiful and kind” young mum killed in a car crash.
Charlotte Buesden, aged 28 and from Sheppey, was fatally injured when her Nissan Qashqai was in collision with a lorry on Swale Way, Kemsley, near Sittingbourne.
Emergency services - including firefighters, paramedics and an air ambulance - rushed to the scene last Monday but she could not be saved.
Following the tragedy dozens of bunches of flowers, messages and even a small bottle of Prosecco have been left in her memory.
One friend, Fran, wrote: “You are too young, too beautiful and too kind to be gone.
“You are part of all my fun times. I have so many amazing memories of you I will treasure forever.
“You were an amazing mummy.
“I so wish we had more time together, more laughs, jokes and love but it’s been so cruelly taken away.
“I will never forget you and I will love you always.”
A Facebook memorial has also been dedicated to her. It reads: “We hope that people who love Charlotte will find comfort in visiting her profile to remember and celebrate her life.”
According to her social media profile, Charlotte, a former student of Canterbury College on Sheppey and Highsted Grammar School, had most recently worked as an accounts assistant for Quick Waste Limited in Sheerness.
She was also involved with the Amateur Football Club Minster.
Officers have since appealed for witnesses who saw the crash to come forward. It involved a yellow Mercedes lorry on the B2005 at Kemsley at 7.30am.
Police shut the road for 11 hours between the Iwade and Kemsley turn-off on the A249 and Barge Way as they collected evidence.
An inquest into Charlotte’s death has been arranged for Thursday, September 9, at County Hall in Maidstone.
A police spokesman said: “Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are continuing to investigate and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.”
