An Island beauty has won a series of titles at a national competition.
Former Miss Sheppey Nicole Harris came third in the main Miss Beauty Queen UK contest and took three other titles.
The final took place in Blackpool and the winners were chosen by a panel of judges of industry experts.
The 21-year-old was up against 29 other finalists and as well as her third place, she also won best smile, best T-shirt and Miss Talent.
All the entrants had to customise a T-shirt and Nicole’s design, which included stars and music notes to represent her love of music and performing, won the judges over.
For her talent entry, Nicole sang a version of Donna Summer’s Hot Stuff, which also won the judges’ votes.
Nicole, who lives in Bergamot Avenue, Minster, will be going on a mystery holiday early next year with the girls who came first and second in the competition.
During the holiday, the girls will be having their modelling portfolios made.
At the final in Blackpool, the girls also managed to break a world record for the most spray tans done in an hour.
The record was 32 and they managed to smash that record by completing 60 tans in the hour, although former St George’s Middle School pupil Nicole said she had to have five done as there were not enough people.
Nicole, who has just graduated from the Maidstone-based Mandy Ellen Dance School in music theatre and dance teaching, hopes to one day perform in West End shows.
The former Queenborough resident said she had a great time in Blackpool and was up there for the Big Switch On – when Robbie Williams turned on the world-famous illuminations.
She said: “I made good friends and had a brilliant experience – it was fantastic.”
