Two community support staff have been recognised for their hard work and commitment.
Duncan Hinshelwood, from Sheerness, and Sally Luck, from Iwade, of Blossoms Care Services, have got through to the regional finals of the Great British Care Awards.
They were nominated by general manager Samantha Swann and will find out on Friday if they have been
successful.
Blossoms, based at the Eurolink Industrial Estate in Sittingbourne, has been running since 2008 and supports adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health conditions and older people in Sheppey, Sittingbourne and Faversham.
Mr Hinshelwood, of St George’s Avenue, has been put forward in the newcomer to care category.
The 48-year-old started at the company in September last year and Miss Swann says he has become a wonderful asset to the community.
Mrs Luck, of Elm Tree Avenue, was nominated for the home carer award for serving the community for more than a decade.
Miss Swann said: “I nominated these individuals as I really believe they deserve some further recognition for the work they do.
“To find out both members of the team had made it through to the final was amazing.
“They work extremely hard and are 100% committed to their role.
“I wish them both the best of luck – to me they are already winners.”
