Confused residents have taken to social media after strange lights were spotted in the sky above Sheppey.
Reports of the bright lights, seen from areas including Minster and Sheerness, have left residents bemused - with some even suggesting it could have been alien activity.
Others have suggested they could have, in fact, been Chinese lanterns or drones.

Dawn Benson, of New Road in Minster, was outside having a cigarette when she noticed the strange goings on at around 9pm last night.
She said: “I was outside having a smoke when I saw six bright lights up above.
"At first I stared at them trying to figure out what they were because they were motionless, but then they angled to one side and zoomed off at such a rate - it was only like point one of a second before they were gone!
“It was like something from close encounters - very weird!”
A number of Sheerness Times Guardian readers have messaged us to ask for an explanation of the mysterious lights, but left us scratching our heads also.
One reader, Bertie Crablebs, captured three of the bright lights on film.
He said: "I feel really silly saying this, but I have no explanation for what I have just witnessed.
"Six aircraft moving at such a speed, then just vanishing!"
