Sheppey remain hopeful of avoiding relegation in Kent 1 after their second league win of the season on Saturday.
A 30-14 victory over Old Olavians gives them hope of escape but they still remain at the foot of the table and two points behind second from bottom HSBC.
Head coach Frank Davis is hoping the victory will give his side confidence as he eyes another scalp this weekend.
Davis said: "With a bit of self-belief and confidence from that win, it will help push us forward.
"Everyone was chuffed and the club was very buoyant after the win. There was relief from myself and it’s just about getting the players to understand how good they are.
"We’re a good team and capable of beating anyone. You need to have that comfort of knowing that when you go out you can win and you need that bit of arrogance.
"If we have the self-belief and the players put the hard work in, then it’s going to work.
"We’re fortunate that there are enough league games left and, at the weekend, the right people lost and that helped us.
"If we can keep picking up points, then the picture will look a lot different in a couple of weeks. We just have to work hard to get out of it now."
Sheppey travel to fifth-placed Vigo on Saturday.
