An elderly woman who died following a head-on horror crash between an Age UK minibus and a car has been remembered by her family as someone who "enjoyed being in the thick of her community".
Eileen Murray, from The Maples in The Broadway, Minster, was on board the white minibus when it collided with a black Peugeot just before 10am on January 16 in Marine Parade, Sheerness.
The women on the bus were being taken to lunch at the charity's day centre, before the horror smash near the former Catamaran Yacht Club.
Ms Murray, 77, who was known as Pat, was taken to a local hospital along with three other passengers and the drivers of the two vehicles.
She passed away later that evening.
Her family said in a tribute: "We are terribly sad to have lost our dear sister and very much loved Auntie Pat, she will be missed by many.
"Pat was always very friendly and had a great sense of humour.
"She enjoyed being in the thick of her community and loved working at the local shop until her retirement when she would then pass her time helping her elderly neighbours, who would look out for her too.
"We miss her so much and feel that she was taken from us way too soon. We love you Pat."
An inquest into Ms Murray's death was opened and adjourned earlier this week.
