A number of road closures will be enforced this weekend for the climax to a popular beach parade.
The Sheerness Seaside Carnival returned last weekend (August 12) for its annual jamboree.
The week-long extravaganza will finish this Saturday (August 19) with its fun-filled carnival.
However, the festival will see a number of roads closed – including the Broadway - to all traffic from the Clock Tower to Royal Road from 12.30pm to 7pm.
Between 3.30pm and 7pm, New Road, Bridge Road, Broad Street, Railway Road, Millennium Way, Trinity Road and the High Street will also see temporary closures while the event is underway.
This is in addition to Trinity Way, Alma Road, Cavour Road, Invicta Road, Railway Road – all of which will be affected.
The roads will also be shut to cyclists wishing to access them.
The festival, coordinated by the Sheerness Town Team, will see regular Tommy Holland hosting a funfair at Beachfields throughout the weekend.
There will also be a free fireworks display on the seafront after the parade.
