Sheppey's new sweet spot Creams was opening today.
The Island's first desserts-only restaurant was due to start serving dishes from 11am at Queenborough’s Neats Court Retail Park.
It is on the estate's "food-quarter" which already boasts Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Burger King and Subway.
The ice cream parlour seats 80 seats and offers a takeaway service.
Franchisee Saxby Enterprises, which also operates the neighbouring Burger King, has recruited 22 staff members for the new café.
Area manager Naveed Chattha said: “We’re really excited.
"Burger King has gone so well on Sheppey that it encouraged us to open another restaurant on the Island.
“It is a nice location. There is a good mix of food and coffee outlets here.”
Opening hours are 11am to 10pm Monday to Thursday, 11am to 11pm Friday and Saturday and 11am to 9pm on Sunday.
Dishes include knickerbocker glories, banana splits, ice creams, waffles and pancakes.
The restaurant is between Morrisons supermarket and The Five Bridges pub.
It is Kent's sixth Creams café. There are others in Maidstone, Chatham, Gravesend, Tunbridge Wells and Bluewater.
Kingsferry Veterinary Surgery is to move into the remaining unit of the new site at Neats Court.
Meanwhile, the estate's owners continue to search for businesses to fill the units left empty by the closure of The Original Factory Outlet and Poundland.
