Sheppey has plenty to offer this summer – and people went along to find out what at an information day.
What Can Sheppey Offer Me? day was held at the Healthy Living Centre off Royal Road, Sheerness, last Wednesday.
Organised by Swale Borough Council, the aim was to provide locals with a complete guide to community projects and activities taking place in Sheerness this summer.
Stalls were manned by organisations including Kent Fire and Rescue Service, Sheppey Wheels, Sheppey Matters, PCT Health Walks, Sheppey Little Theatre, the Hope Street Centre, Big Fish Arts, Blue Town Heritage Centre and Seashells Children and Families’ Centre.
Kelly Walker, the council’s community cohesion worker for Sheerness, said: “The Isle of Sheppey offers many great clubs, sports and activities and there really is something for everybody.”
