A woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

Kent Police were called to Bridge Road, Sheerness yesterday at 11.09am after reports of a car hitting a pedestrian.

Emergency services attended the incident and the woman was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

Witnesses reported seeing multiple police cars at the scene, near the Tesco petrol station.
