Woman taken to hospital with facial injuries after 'serious assault' in McDonald's car park in Sheerness

A woman was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing facial injuries following a serious assault in a McDonald's car park.

The incident happened outside the fast food restaurant in Bridge Street, Sheerness.

A woman in her 30s was in the car park when she was assaulted by another woman between 7.15pm and 7.30pm on Friday January 27.

It is also reported a man who was with the suspect and had been acting aggressively prior to the assault, urged his dog to harm the victim. Both then left the scene in a black vehicle.

The victim went to hospital to receive treatment for a serious facial injury.

An investigation is underway and police have released CCTV images of two people they wish to speak to in relation to the attack.

Investigating officer, PC Stuart Drakeley, said: "An investigation is underway to identify the suspects and we are now able to release images of two people who may be able to assist with our inquiries.

"The victim suffered potentially life-changing injuries and we are urging anyone who recognises the people pictured to contact our appeal line."
