Youngsters had a wonderful time at the town’s library where they listened to a story and even ended up joining.
The children from reception class at Rose Street Primary School, Sheerness, went on a visit to Sheerness Library arranged by the school’s book worker, Susan Mannering.
They listened to a story read by the librarian and showed off new books given to them as part of the Government’s initiative for all five year olds to be encouraged to read.
Teacher Yvonne Skinner said: “It was a really good day and encouraged the children to become involved in their local library, and as some of them didn’t even know it existed it was a very valuable exercise. They had a really wonderful time.”
