A 20-year-old man has been arrested by police in connection with six arson attacks in a Kent town.

On November 24 and November 27, fires were started in St George's Avenue, Sheerness, destroying a transit van, damaging a community centre and causing damage to other property.

The man has been released on police bail and ordered to return to Sittingbourne Police Station on December 24.
