A 19-year-old woman accused of murder pleaded not guilty when she appeared at crown court.
Kirsty Scamp, wearing a brown top, trousers and a cross around her neck, denied killing Jason Bull on March 13 this year.
Mr Bull, who was living with Scamp, died from stab wounds in Beach Street, Sheerness, on his 28th birthday.
Scamp’s trial is expected to last two weeks although a date has yet to be fixed.
Judge Andrew Patience QC, sitting at Maidstone Crown Court, said as it was unlikely the trial would start before January next year. Enquiries may have to be made to see whether any other court could hear the case.
Scamp, of the High Street, Sheerness, was remanded in custody and a further hearing will be held on June 23. She is not expected to attend court on that date.
