Southern Counties East League teams Chatham Town and Sheppey United both knocked out higher-league teams to reach the FA Cup Third Qualifying Round on Saturday.
Sheppey had home advantage against National League South Welling, who were playing their first game of the season.
The Ites made it count with a deserved 2-0 win, never looking back after Jamal Howlett-Mundle gave them a 12th-minute lead from close range.
Danny Devine grabbed the second with 20 minutes left, and Sheppey could have added to their tally in a dominant display.
They are joined in Monday’s draw by Chatham, who won 3-0 at Isthmian Premier Folkestone Invicta.
The lower-league team also deserved to go through in this one, former Sheppey striker Dan Bradshaw continuing his rich vein of form in front of goal.
Bradshaw put Chats ahead on 35 minutes and doubled their lead five minutes into the second half with a close-range finish after a neat exchange on the edge of the area involving George Sheminant.
Skipper Jack Evans’ low finish confirmed Chatham’s progress in the 90th minute.
Tom Derry’s second-half goal ensured Tonbridge Angels progressed with a 1-0 win at Farnborough.
A stunning second-half performance saw Cray Valley score four times to win 5-1 at Harrow Borough.
Ade Yusuff put Cray ahead with a spot-kick just after the half-hour but Harrow levelled with a penalty of their own, Frank Keita scoring on the stroke of half-time.
Cray were then awarded another penalty at the start of the second half but he blazed it horribly over the bar.
It mattered little in the end, however, as Connor Dymond headed Cray ahead and Denzel Gayle’s low drive from the edge of the box made it 3-1.
Ade Adeyemo scored the fourth and Matty Warren’s backheel rounded off the scoring for Kevin Watson’s side.
Also in the draw are Cray Wanderers as Joe Taylor took his season’s tally to eight goals with a hat-trick in their 6-2 success at Moneyfields.
Taylor struck twice in the first 13 minutes before Freddie Parker and Jay Leader put Cray 4-0 ahead inside 35 minutes.
Steve Hutchings replied with a brace either side of Charlie Allen scoring Cray’s fifth with Taylor completing his treble late on.
A last-gasp penalty saw Slough win 1-0 at Dartford, Jack McKnight converting the spot-kick two minutes into stoppage time.
The third Southern Counties East League side, Corinthian, failed to reach the Third Qualifying Round as they went down 1-0 to National League South Hampton at Gay Dawn Farm. Ruaridh Donaldson with the decisive goal in the first half.
Ebbsfleet needed penalties to get past Hastings at Stonebridge Road.
The teams drew 2-2 in 90 minutes with Ben Chapman’s stunner in stoppage time keeping Fleet in the tie. Lee Martin had earlier put Ebbsfleet ahead with a spot-kick. Read our match report here .
