Minster’s Kent League Premier Division lead was cut to 11 points as they were thrashed at sixth-placed Bexley on Saturday.

Half-centuries from skipper Matthew Stiddard (84) and Varun Anand (77) led Bexley to 257-7, Daniel Masters returning 4-34 for Minster.

Minster captain David Masters top scored with 24, only to see his side skittled for 104 in the 27th over. Freddie Foster (4-22) sparkled for them.

Second-placed Hayes earned a six-wicket win at Tunbridge Wells to make it seven league victories from seven.

Sahil Shah scored 15 but Tunbridge Wells were dismissed for 72 in the 28th over, with Stuart Eddicott (4-17) and Alfie Peck (4-24) among the wickets.

Matthew Barker (2-24) and Dileepa Jayalath (2-32) did well in the field for Wells but Tom Gallagher and ex-Kent player Alex Blake saw Hayes across the line with 25 not out and 19 not out, respectively.

Third-placed St Lawrence & Highland Court saw off city rivals and relegation-threatened Canterbury at home to complete the league double over them.

Ben Marsh’s 50 helped Canterbury reach a 50-over total of 234-7 while legendary former Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens (2-25) did well.

Will Hilton (51) and John Grewar (34 not out) ensured St Lawrence & Highland Court totalled 235-7 with four balls to spare despite wickets for Syan Bulathsinhala (2-46), Isaac Dilkes (2-49) and Jarred Lysaught (2-50).

Defending champions Lordswood edged out basement boys Bickley Park at home by seven runs.

Opening batsman Linden Lockhart (26) and Joe Gordon (25) steered them towards 120 all out, opening bowler Ismail Baharami’s figures of 5-38 seeing him shine.

Safwaan Imitiaz top scored with 20 but Jack Laraman’s 4-11 from 5.3 overs saw him turn the screw enough to get the Lords to victory.

Blackheath secured a five-wicket home win over Sandwich Town and now sit eight points ahead of them.

Rory Smith’s 67 guided Sandwich to 181 all out, despite Kent’s Arafat Bhuiyan returning figures of 5-40.

Smith also took all the Blackheath wickets to fall - as he claimed figures of 5-17 from 10 overs - but Matthew Golding (78 not out) and Siraj Sajid (49 not out) saw them home through a 137-run stand.
