Marshall endures torrid start

Jack Marshall had a nightmare start to his challenge in the British Championships in Northamptonshire.

Mechanical problems meant the Eastchurch racer was unable to finish any of the heats and he started at the back of the grid in the B final.

Marshall, 14, still managed to come through in sixth and he is 32nd out of 48 drivers.

Dad Lee said: “It wasn’t very good at all and the technical problems were unbelievable.

“We must have had all our bad luck now. Pace-wise we’re on the money and have been quick but we just haven’t had the luck.”

The next round is in Cumbria on April 25.
