Sheppey boss Ernie Batten has announced the signings of Bradley Spice and Toby Ashmore.
Spice, who made his name as a prolific striker at Sittingbourne, is returning to football after a break and asked to join Sheppey.
Batten said: “Brad’s got a lot of quality and I can see him playing a major part. He’s seen how we’re developing and he contacted us with a view to coming along.
“A lot of players get to 30 and think they’ve had enough but they have a season out and realise how much they miss football.
“Brad’s only 32 and he’s definitely got another couple of years in him. He’s kept himself in good shape and with half a dozen competitive games under his belt, he’ll be at a good level.”
Defender Ashmore won the Kent League with Herne Bay and played Ryman League football at Faversham.
“He’s a player we identified," said Batten. "He came down to have a look and was happy to join us. He brings experience and leadership and will be a good character in the dressing room and around the club.”
Sheppey, who lost 4-1 at home to Canterbury City in midweek after a 4-2 defeat to Lordswood last Saturday, meet Deal at the Oasis Academy on Saturday (3pm) before hosting Folkestone in the first game on their new £100,000 pitch at Holm Park on Tuesday (7.45pm).
