Sheerness Golf Club’s junior team won the Junior Kent Golf League for the first time since 1991 after a closely fought victory over Nizels at Dartford last Saturday.
Jake Jackson (h16) held his nerve to seal the win on the 18th green with the last putt of the match.
Joe Creasey (h4), Matt Burford (h21), Connor Ryan (h8), Toby Simmance (h5) and Bradley Honour (h23) were the other members of the team who battled past 16 other clubs to claim the title.
Simmance, 16, has been chosen to captain the juniors during the club’s centenary year in 2009.
