Sheppey United have brought in a young defender from Dartford while another has left after the club received a seven-day approach.
Ali Mansaray, who is a natural centre-back who can also operate on the right side of defence, has joined the Ites on loan from National South high-flyers Dartford.
Mansaray came through the academy at Dartford and signed a first team contract for the 2022/23 season after impressing during pre-season. He had previously scored in the Darts' 6-2 Kent Senior Cup final win over Folkestone back in May.
The 6ft 2inch defender joins Sheppey during a period of change at the Isthmian League club, which has seen Jono Richardson return as assistant manager. A slow start to the season from the club has seen them look at making squad changes.
Mansaray missed out on the chance to make a midweek debut as Sheppey's game at Hythe Town on Tuesday night was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
Leaving Sheppey, meanwhile, is left-back Matt Parsons, who only joined the club this summer. Sheppey say he “has left the club following a 7 day approach from a fellow league side and we thank him for his services this season and wish him all the best for the future.”
