Danny Leonard has returned to his former club after a season at Dartford.
The winger joined Dartford from Sheppey United last summer but is back with The Ites after their promotion to the Isthmian League. He has moved for an undisclosed fee.
The former Gillingham youngster moved to the Darts after two years with Sheppey but was always complimentary of his time with the island side, saying: “I loved it at Sheppey. I was playing well and scored goals both seasons I was there, but as soon as a club like Dartford comes in for you, you can’t turn it down.”
Dartford boss Alan Dowson said: “We offered him a deal but I think the travelling has become a problem for him.
"He’s got a young family as well and is going away for two weeks of pre-season so he was looking to get something closer to home, that’s the vibe I got from him."
A statement from the Darts said: "We have accepted an undisclosed fee for Danny from Sheppey United, his former club.
"We wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his hard work over the course of last season."
