Oh no it isn’t, oh yes it is ... panto is set to return to Sittingbourne with two TV stars confirmed to play the lead roles in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Former EastEnders actress Melissa Suffield will play the lead role when the show is performed at The Wyvern Hall, at Swallows leisure centre, in December.
The 20-year-old played Lucy Beale in the BBC1 soap for almost six years, until she fell out with producers who were unhappy with her partying lifestyle.
She said: “I’m thoroughly looking forward to playing Snow White. It’s a great family show and Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without a fun-filled panto for all the family to come and watch.”
Meanwhile, Big Brother star and former model Grace Adams-Short is set to return to the stage playing the Wicked Queen.
She said: “I played Aladdin at the Swallows last Christmas.
“The venue has such a friendly atmosphere and all the staff are fantastic and hard working so I’m thrilled to have been asked back again this year.
“I expect more laughs, more cheers and definately lots of boos.”
Ten action-packed performances, staged by Trio Entertainment, will run from December 19 to 24. The line-up also includes Tom Hogan (last year’s Widow Twankey) as Muddles, singing star Chris Martin as Prince and Lauren Boote as Fairy Kindheart.
Producer Kevin Brown said: “It’s going to be great fun for all the family.
“It is one of the country’s best-loved pantomimes.
“After the huge success of Aladdin we can’t wait to get started with this year’s production in Sittingbourne.”
All tickets are priced from £7, with discounts available to schools and are on sale now.
