An A-road was closed this morning leaving residents without water after a mains pipe burst.
The A2 Keycol Hill in Bobbing has now reopened after crews dealt with the incident in Ladyfields Close earlier today.
Jamie Mackenzie, who owns Mac Campers along the main road near Sittingbourne, said he had “never seen anything like it”.
“The mains burst at about 5am yesterday morning,” the 50-year-old said this morning.
“It’s like a river running down the road. No one can get through at the moment.
“Crews have been working here all morning and they have just started delivering some water to the nearby homes.”
The road reopened in both directions at about 2pm and traffic was soon easing.
Two-way lights have been put in place until the full re-instatement is completed.
A Southern Water spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a burst main in the early hours of Saturday morning affecting around 118 homes.
“Tankers were sent to keep customers supplied with water and our teams worked through the night to complete the repair by 11am today (Sunday).
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused while we worked to rectify the situation.”
