A youngster needs your help to make him the new face of a well known chocolate brand.
Four-year-old Taylan Alleyne-Williams, from Sittingbourne, is one of 30 finalists chosen for the Face of Kinder competition which is looking for six winners. Each child will not only have their face on packs of Kinder Chocolate Mini Treats but also win a family holiday.
The aim of the search was to find humorous kids between the ages of four to 11. Each entrant had to provide a photograph and amusing quote and Taylan won over the judges with his funny quote: "Mum why do you wear makeup. Is it because you’re ugly?"
Now Taylan’s mum Lauren is appealing to the public to back her son by visiting the website www.faceofkinder.com and voting for him before 11.59pm this Saturday.
Lauren said: "Taylan is kindhearted, imaginative, natural, dazzling, eye-catching and radiant! Both he and I would be so proud if he were to win the Face of Kinder Competition and it’s important for people to vote for him."
Vanessa Kennedy, from Kinder, said, "Kids are inherently funny and this is an exciting way for parents to share their humour and personalities. We’re looking for six stars from the UK and Ireland to replace our traditional boy for the first time ever. It’s a wonderful way for us to celebrate the magic of childhood. We’re keen to discover our six lucky winners so we can feature them on limited edition packs."
The smiling photo of a child on the pack is part of what has made Kinder Chocolate iconic around the world. Throughout the four decades of the brand, there have been four boys, renowned across Europe, who have featured on packs.
The winners will be announced on November 15, and their faces will appear on packs of Kinder Chocolate Mini Treats from January 2010 for a limited period.
