A249 Sittingbourne-bound cleared after two car crash near Detling Hill

A busy dual carriage has now reopened following a crash between two cars.

The A249 Sittingbourne-bound is now open from Detling Hill after an accident at Scragged Oak Road, near the Bredhurst turn-off, closed both lanes.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: "Crews attended the scene of a car crash involving two cars at the top of Detling Hill, A249.

"Crews were only required in a scene safety capacity.

"Casualties involved in the incident were left in the care of the ambulance service. The scene was left in the care of the police."
