A dog found abandoned near a dock with a fractured skull has received a huge mountain of donated presents.
Bandit was taken in by Swale council’s Stray Dog Service last Wednesday after he was seen wandering around Ridham Dock Road near Iwade.
He had significant blunt force trauma to the head, which had left brain tissue visible and he had to undergo surgery at Swale Barn Vets in Faversham.
The surgery cost £600 and was fully funded by donations but he will likely need further care.
Bandit arrived at Thanet-based rescue Angels 4 Dogs today where he will continue to recover from his injuries.
A recent post shared by the charity shows a huge pile of Amazon parcels filled with gifts for him, donated by generous supporters.
He has received a number of toys, treats, balls and even a dog bed.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “Thank you for all the presents for Bandit.
“We have been inundated with so many lovely things for him.
“It’s truly heartwarming to have so many people rooting for him to have the world.”

The charity added: “We are all beyond in love. He has been a total gent.
“We had a lovely woodland walk, lots of chicken, some cuddles and started learning about his new toys.
“It’s been a big day for a little chap who has ensured far too much. We are beyond proud of his will to live and to love to despite it all”.
