There was an accident on Canterbury Road, Sittingbourne, at about 10pm last night.

A car travelling from Sittingbourne towards Bapchild hit another at the traffic-light controlled junction with Swanstree Avenue.

One driver is reported to have fled the scene.

Emergency services were called, but there are no details of any injuries.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to a two-car road at 22:21 on Saturday. Firefighters stabilised the vehicle and made the scene safe.
